Lauren
Sheppard (Tamara Braun)
Even as a child growing up in Beverly Hills, Lauren Sheppard exhibited telekinetic abilities. Fearful
of how their "freak" daughter would affect their social standing, Lauren's parents went to
great lengths to hide her abilities. After an incident in high school Lauren was sent to a psychiatrist
recommended to her parents by Wolfram & Hart. The doctor was able to block Lauren's burgeoning
psychic powers (until they could later be exploited) and Lauren returned to school. Years later the block
was shattered when Lauren was chosen by the Powers That Be to be the new host for their Visions.
Committed to an institution by her parents, Lauren was freed by Patrick and Jalen and is now trying to
put together a new life while acting as the Powers' reluctant messenger to their Champions. Due in part
to a failed attempt by Wolfram and Hart to sever her connection to the Powers, Lauren has now strengthened
her clairvoyant abilities.

(Clea DuVall)

with other people and pursuing a study of the supernatural that bordered on obsession. Her quest to identify
the thing that killed her family has drawn her to Los Angeles, where she is working on a Masters in Occult
Studies at UCLA. Despite her desire to be alone with her studies, Dana's obsession with the supernatural
has caused her to join with the others in their battles against the forces of evil. During a battle with a
werewolf Dana was cursed with lycanthropy, but has since gained a measure of control over her transformations.

Ethan Marsh
(Eric Balfour)
A gifted medical student, Ethan Marsh's life was changed forever when he was nearly killed during an
earthquake. Ethan's brush with death gave him a kind of "second sight" that lets him see
the spirit world. Plagued by ghosts that no one else could see, Ethan turned to prescription drugs to
get by. His increasingly erratic behavior led him to get kicked out of med school, forcing Ethan to
find work at an inner city clinic. Circumstances drew him to the others and he has stayed with them,
despite gaining a pair of unwanted roommates in the form of the homeless Jalen and Lauren. For Ethan
the bad is balanced by being with people that he doesn't have to hide his ability from, and more recently
with his efforts to get closer to the cold and distant Dana. More recently Ethan lost his job at the clinic,
after which he was able to beat his drug addiction. He has also struck up something of a relationship with
Alexandra Morelli, a lawyer working for the evil law firm of Wolfram and Hart.
