Fearing an imminent reprisal from Wolfram & Hart the group sets about securing their
house against a possible attack. Believing the house to be reasonably safe, the groups settles in for the
night, only to be awakened by a loud explosion several hours later. A quick search reveals that Dana is
missing and the outside wall to her room has been destroyed. Investigating further, Patrick and Ethan
realize that the wall was blown apart from the inside out and that someone or something had been in the
room prior to the destruction.
Flashing back, we see a sleeping Dana awakened by a presence in the room. Standing near her
is a towering figure, hidden in darkness except for the glowing eyes, with a pair of enormous antlers
perched on its head. The figure tells Dana that the time of the hunt has come and she finds herself being
carried along as the figure blows out the wall to her room and heads off into the sky. The figure is
Herne, the mythic Wild Huntsman, and by virtue of her bloodline Dana is fated to be the hound of the
Wild Hunt. Transforming into her werewolf form almost involuntarily, Dana's enhanced senses immediately
track onto a scent, one so strong and repulsive she cannot help but head for it. The Hunstman and his
mystic hunters follow as Dana leads them into the forests of Griffith Park. The Hunt breaks into a clearing
where Dana sees the previously deceased Travis McCauley, whose body is now home to The Hart, one of the powerful
demonic Senior Partners of Wolfram & Hart.
As the Huntsman prepares to take his prey, the Hart springs his trap. From just outside the
clearing the Count emerges, along with dozens of Wolfram & Hart paramilitary troops. The soldiers open
fire on the hunters, cutting down the members of the Wild Hunt. Dana, still in her werewolf form, goes into
a frenzy, attacking the troops mercilessly. The Wild Huntsman ignores the soldiers and presses on towards
the Hart only to be confronted by the Count. Armed with a magically enhanced shotgun, the Count blasts the
Huntsman in the chest, sending the being flying. As the troops finish off the rest of the hunters, Dana is
finally subdued by multiple shots from a tazer. As she falls unconscious Dana sees the Hart take the gun
from the Count and finish off the Wild Huntsman with a point blank shot to the head.
Back at the house Lauren uses her psychic abilities to see what happened in the room. Her vision
shows her the appearance of the Huntsman and his and Dana's departure, which gives Lauren an idea of where the
pair were headed. Based on Lauren's vision the group makes their way to Griffith Park where they find the
aftermath of the battle between the Wild Hunt and Wolfram & Hart. Their investigation turns up the hundreds
of shell casings from the ambush, along with the blood from the soldiers Dana had attacked. When they notice that
a large area of the clearing appears to be dead, Lauren focuses her vision on what seems to be the epicentre of
the dead vegetation. As the others watch, Lauren's eyes suddenly go solid white and she floats into the air
several feet above the ground. The others try to approach but are blocked as a ring of fire suddenly appears
on the ground beneath her. Almost as suddenly as it began Lauren's vision seems to end, with the flames abruptly
extinguishing and Lauren sent flying backwards. Luckily Patrick is able to catch her and as she comes to
Lauren tells them about what she saw. Lauren's vision was different than what she was used to, apparently because
of the level of power of the beings involved. What she saw was a vague image of a white being and a red being
doing battle, with the white being striking the red being in the chest and then the head. Whatever was killed in
that spot was powerful, and its death caused all the plant life around it to die off as well. With the ballistic
evidence at hand, as well as booted footprints and vehicle tracks, the group guesses that Wolfram & Hart
must somehow be involved.
The next morning Dana awakens to find herself in a jail cell of some kind. she has reverted to human form
and is naked, covered in a blanket. The outer door to the cell area opens and Keri Prescott arrives. She gives
Dana some food. She tells Dana that they are going to hand her over to the Unseelie Court
and the evil Sidhe have sent someone to retrieve her. Dana refuses to be intimidated, though, and Keri leaves.
Dana's friends, meanwhile, have returned to the house to plan their next move. Lauren is able to confirm that Dana is being held
at the Wolfram & Hart office tower, but can't get a specific location. Ethan works up a small magic ritual that
let's him create a "Dana compass" that will help them pinpoint her location. With no time to plan anything
subtle to group opts for a direct confrontation and grab what weapons they can before heading for the office building.
At Wolfram & Hart, Dana receives her next visitor - Brendan Hughes. Brendan is the one who is to
take Dana to Europe and has brought her some casual clothes to wear. He leaves long enough for her to change before he
and a pair of W & H security guards come back to get her. At the same time Patrick, Lauren, Ethan and Jalen arrive
in the building's lobby. With their weapons in plain view the receptionist immediately places a call to security.
Jalen remains behind to deal with the security while the other three head into an elevator to search for Dana.
Preparing for the arrival of the guards, Jalen jumps into the Shadow Realm only to find himself confronted with his
former leader, the Shadow Master. While Jalen has become more adept at fighting in the shadows, he is still not a
match for the Shadow Clan's leader and he is eventually forced to flee.
As the security alarm is raised, Dana is being escorted to the parking garage by Brendan and the
two guards. Using her animal strength without changing form, Dana gets the drop on the two guards, disabling them.
Recovering from his initial shock, Brendan transforms into his werewolf form. Dana follows suit and the battle
begins between the two lycanthropes. Elsewhere Patrick, Ethan and Lauren find themselves confronted by the vampire
witch Keri. Ethan attempts to throw a flash bomb at Keri only to have her hold it in place telekinetically, where it
explodes in Ethan's face, blinding and stunning him. Lauren tries to shoot Keri with a sub-machine gun but her
inexperience with weapons causes the shots to fly everywhere. Eventually it is Patrick who must fight his former
teammate and he gets a few good hits in before Keri unleashes the full power of her magic. A mystic blast brings
down part of the ceiling, cutting Lauren and Ethan off from her and Patrick, then Keri is able to knock out Patrick.
Unable to follow Keri and Patrick, Lauren takes Ethan and homes in on Dana instead. The battle
between the werewolves has been fierce, but eventually Dana gains the upper hand and kills Brendan, ripping his heart
out from his chest (something she promised to do as the fight began). Her new clothes in tatters from the transformation,
Dana steals the uniform from one of the dead security guards and soon is joined by Ethan and Lauren. The trio are then
joined by the injured Jalen and the group heads off to find Patrick.
Near the top floor of the building Patrick has been brought before the full Circle and the manifested
Senior Partner, the Hart. The Hart is not impressed with the Powers' choice of champion, though he is shocked when the Count
shows him Patrick's sword, which the Hart thought long destroyed. Patrick takes the initiative and grabs back his sword,
attacking the Count. The other members of the Circle prepare to interfere but the Hart wants to see how Patrick
fights and waves them off. Still injured from his fight with Keri, Patrick has trouble with the demonically-enhanced
Count. When word reaches the Circle of the approach of Patrick's friends, the Hart dispatches Keri, Dr. Maalik, and
the Shadow Master to deal with them. Patrick seizes the moment of distraction and launches himself at the Hart,
burying his sword into the demon's heart. A bright white light emerges from the Senior Partner's chest and there is
a massive explosion.
Several floors down Lauren, Ethan, Dana and Jalen feel the building rock from the force of the explosion.
As the walls and ceiling begin to collapse around them Jalen grabs everyone and pulls them into the Shadow Realms.
Emerging outside the group watches as the Wolfram & Hart office tower collapses. Dana says that she can no longer
sense the presence of the Hart, but Lauren says that she cannot detect Patrick anywhere either. Fearing the fate of
their friend, the group has no choice but to leave the area before police and fire crews arrive.
