Jalen returns with the "unmentionables" he stole from Sekhmet, causing many in the group to wonder
why he chose that sort of object. Lauren is reluctant to try to get any kind of reading from the panties, but in the end gives
in. With her powers, Lauren is able to produce a vision that shows her what Sekhmet has been up to since being revived. This
reveals to the group how Sekhmet has been gathering homeless people, using the older and weaker ones as a food source for her
troops and the younger ones as the nucleus of a cult of worshippers, with Drusilla installed as her new high priestess. The vision
also confirms what the group suspected, that Sekhmet has performed as series of rituals to eliminate the traditional vampire
weaknesses from her undead followers. With that confirmed the group wonders if there is some way to re-curse the vampires or,
failing that, to create a new curse.
While the group tries to figure out their next move, Sekhmet's troops are on the move. Having dealt with the
regional Dusk Lords, Alexander and the other vampire soldiers head to the airport, taking their crusade overseas.
Out of ideas, the group heads over to the Oracle's place where they meet with Lorne. Unfortunately he can
offer little help. They are dealing with a powerful being, and none of them has anywhere near the ability to attempt to
cast a curse powerful enough to affect Sekhmet and her followers. Jalen wonders if they should try and contact the Powers That Be
for help, but Lorne reminds him that the PTBs have a strict "don't call us we'll call you" policy. Frustrated, Ethan
finally decides to head to Wolfram & Hart to see if he can get anything useful from Alexandra. Surprisingly she does not
engage in the usual banter and instead dismisses Ethan, instructing him to come back in a few hours and to bring the rest of the
group if he wants some useful information.
When Ethan does return, with the others reluctantly in tow, the group are escorted into a meeting room where
Alexandra introduces them to her newest client, a Dusk Lord named Eichler. Eichler has just arrived in Los Angeles after barely
escaping an attack by Alexander and Sekhmet's vampire soldiers in Germany. He fears that many of his fellow Dusk Lords may not have
been so lucky. Eichler hired Wolfram & Hart to put him in touch with the group, who he knew had the best chance of stopping Sekhmet.
He provides them with additional information on the Blood Goddess, mentioning that Sekhmet is probably one of the first if not the
very first vampire, predating all of the vampiric curses. He also tells them that Keri is likely no longer a Dusk Lord, but
has probably consumed enough of Sekhmet's blood to become the equivalent of a powerful ancient vampire herself. All of Eichler's
information points to the fact that it may be virtually impossible to kill Sekhmet. With that in mind, the group decides that
re-imprisonment is the best option to deal with Sekhmet. Eichler agrees and recommends they use the original sarcophagus if at all
possible. He offers to provide them with the binding ritual necessary to seal Sekhmet within the coffin again. With that decided
the meeting ends and the group is escorted out.
Back at the house the group tries to figure out how they will get Sekhmet into the sarcophagus. Finally it is pointed
out that their are a lot more potent drugs available now than the beer supposedly used by Ra to pacify Sekhmet in the myth. Having
realized this they decide to combine Ethan's medicinal knowledge with Dana's alchemical to come up with a sedative capable of
affecting an ancient vampire. With that part of the plan settled, the group works out the rest. One group will break into the house
in the hills to steal the sarcophagus and use it as bait to draw to Sekhmet into an ambush. With a sense of completeness, and irony,
the group decides to lay their trap in the ruins of the Paradise Theater.
