As the group prepares to lay their ambush for Sekhmet, the Blood Goddess moves her plans forward.
With Drusilla leading the way, Sekhmet's cult of worshippers leaves the sanctuary beneath the house. Each of the
young cultist has been fed some of Sekhmet's blood and is now being sent out into the world to seek out other
vampires. Any vampire that feeds on the cultists will also be feeding on some of Sekhmet's blood and will gain
the immunity to the traditional vampire weaknesses that her other followers have.
At the house a messenger arrives from Wolfram & Hart. He gives the team a package from the Dusk
Lord Eichler. Inside are the incantations and notes on the ritual the group will need to use to seal Sekhmet in
her sarcophagus. Also in the package are a set of blueprints for the mountain house that once belonged to the Dusk Lord Talan,
the house now used by Sekhmet as her base of operations.
With their plans in place the group splits up. Dana and Ethan go to the ruins of the Paradise Theater
where Dana, armed with the tranquilizer gun filled with the concoction she and Ethan made, takes a sniper position in
the balcony section while Ethan takes position on the stage to await the others.
Meanwhile, with Lauren in the SUV ready for a quick getaway, Patrick and Jalen sneak into the mountain house.
Avoiding detection, the pair sneak into the basement where they find nothing. They realize there must be a hidden section of
the house somewhere, one that leads into the mountain itself. In the downstairs study the two find a secret passage behind
a bookshelf. Heading down a set of stairs the two come across Talan's alchemical lab. From there they have to split up to
explore a pair of tunnels. Patrick follows one tunnel which leads him to the huge cave used by Sekhmet as an amphitheater
to address her minions. On the rocky stage at the center, amidst the newly made statues of Sekhmet and the blood pool her
minions feed from Patrick spots the sarcophagus. Following the other tunnel Jalen comes across a dungeon where a pair of vampires
are feeding off of several captive humans.
Though he realizes that it may jeopardize the mission, Jalen cannot leave the captives to the mercy of the vampires.
He attacks, and frees the prisoners, covering their retreat back to the lab and the stairwell. Back in the lab Jalen spots a
mechanism that he realizes is a self-destruct switch, probably installed by Talan ages ago to prevent his work from being stolen.
Jalen sends the escapees up the stairs with instructions to get clear of the house and not look back. He activates the self-destruct
switch and heads down the other tunnel to get Patrick.
In the larger cavern, Patrick is trying to figure out how to get the sarcophagus out when he is attacked
by Keri and Alexander. The fight is decidedly one sided against Patrick until help arrives in the form of Lauren. Having
recalled some of the layout of the area from her earlier vision, Lauren was able to find a secret passage into the cavern,
one designed to be used by vehicles. She took the SUV down the tunnel and arrived in time to smash the truck into Alexander,
sending him flying. Keri is still a danger, but her mystic attack is cut short by Jalen, who proceeds to stab her through
the back. With Keri and Alexander incapacitated the trio manage to get the sarcophagus in the SUV and leave before a series
of explosions destroy the cavern and collapse the house. Moments before the cavern roof caves in Alexander is
crushed by a falling statue of Sekhmet.
On the freeway heading into Los Angeles, Patrick spots a familiar red Corvette pursuing the heroes. As Sekhmet
closes in on the SUV Patrick manages to take out one of the Vette's tires, causing the car to roll and explode. The explosion
does little more than delay Sekhmet, who emerges from the flaming wreck and promptly picks it up and tosses it toward the
fleeing SUV, barely missing. Sekhmet then tosses the driver from another car and continues pursuit. Lauren takes the SUV onto
an off-ramp into the city with Sekhmet close behind. To slow their pursuer a little more Lauren uses her telekinesis to
rip up the pavement, causing Sekhmet to crash again. Still only delayed a little, Sekhmet takes off on foot after the SUV.
Finally they all arrive at the theater, Lauren driving the SUV right through the front doors and into the audience area
before coming to a stop.
Once an enraged Sekhmet arrives the fight is on in earnest. Patrick, Jalen, Ethan and Lauren do their best to
keep Sekhmet occupied while Dana fires the tranq darts at her. It is not long before Ethan is badly injured and it is all Patrick
and Jalen can do to keep each other from being killed. Lauren manages to sneak backstage and from there uses her telekinesis
to distract Sekhmet any way she can, even going so far as to try and tear the leather catsuit off of the enraged vampire.
As Dana continues to fire the darts at Sekhmet the drugs begin to have an affect. Sekhmet slowly weakens, giving the others
a chance to catch their breath. Finally, after Dana has used up all of the darts she and Ethan prepared, Sekhmet collapses. Weak
as they are after the battle, the group manages to get her into the sarcophagus and Dana performs the ritual sealing her back in,
hopefully for a very long time.
