Lauren receives a vision showing demonic figures attacking a group of
college frat boys and she, Patrick, Jalen and Ethan go to investigate. Dana meanwhile
has been investigating the demon Azathoth and learns that an ancient tome, the
Book of Zar-n'Atoth, has details about the demon and its brethren. The book is
supposed to be in the relics repository of the UCLA library, but Dana discovers it
is missing.
On campus, sophomore Lucy Smythe comes across the victims of the
demons from Lauren's vision. She is spotted by the demonic figures and runs. She is
found by other members of the victims' fraternity (Chi-Beta-Psi) and goes back to
their frat house to escape the creatures.
The team arrives on campus and encounters the demons, killing all
but one of them. Then Lauren receives another vision indicating that the frat boys
were the real threat. Dana arrives and is able to speak the language of the demon.
It explains that the girl, Lucy, is destined to end a war in its home dimension and
that the frat boys are members of the Brotherhood of Ku-Ba-Sah, who seek to continue
the war.
The team and the surviving demon, a Knight of T'rael, converge on
the frat house, where the Brotherhood are preparing to kill Lucy. The Brotherhood
are able to hold off the heroes, stopping them from getting in the house, until
Jalen manages to get the surviving Knight inside. When the Knight gets to Lucy, he
is able to activate her latent powers and she destroys the Brotherhood.
The Knight explains to Lucy her true origins and her destiny. After
some thinking, she decides to go with him back to his dimension.
