Dana learns that the Book of Zar-n'Atoth was 'unofficially' loaned
out from the UCLA's occult collection to a local businessman in exchange for a
generous donation to the university. The businessman is Leland Richter, head of
Kronos Industries.
Investigating Kronos Industries, the team learns the company is
sponsoring a free outdoor concert in a few days time. Investigating the concert
site, Dana notices that it is surrounded by an electrified fence, to keep the
audience in. She realizes that the audience will probably be used as a mass
sacrifice to raise up Azathoth.
Knowing what the plan is for the concert, the team decides to track
down the missing Book. Dana performs a locating ritual and pinpoints it in Kronos
Industries main headquarters in downtown LA. Patrick and Jalen decide to break in to
the office tower and recover the Book.
Inside the building, Patrick and Jalen encounter vampires and
hellhounds being used for security. While Jalen battles the hellhounds, Patrick
searches for the Book. He finds it in a lab where it is being scanned into computers.
He takes the book, but before he can delete the scanned files he is confronted by
Kronos' head of security, who he is shocked to see is his former partner from the
LAPD, Andrew Cross. Patrick flees from Cross and the security teams, eventually
rejoining Jalen and the two are able to escape from the building with the book.
