With the outdoor concert fast approaching the group works out a plan
to prevent Leland Richter, the president of Kronos Industries, from sacrificing the
concert audience to the demon Azathoth. While Lauren, Dana, and Ethan make their way
backstage to disable the electric fence Patrick and Jalen will be in the crowd ready
to defend the concert-goers from whatever is in store.
Lauren and Dana bluff their way backstage posing as groupies and look
for the control trailer. Ethan is also able to sneak in. In the concert audience Patrick and Jalen mingle with the
crowd, eventually discovering a set of trapdoors in the ground. They go down and
find several packs of hellhounds and their vampire handlers ready to be let loose on
the audience. The two heroes draw their swords and wade into the creatures.
Backstage Dana, Lauren, and Ethan get into the control trailer but
are confronted by Andrew Cross. He shoots Ethan in the leg but a telekinetic push
from Lauren sends him out the door. Back in the audience Jalen and Patrick attempt
to bring down the fence so the crowd can flee the remaining vampires and hellhounds.
Luckily the girls are able to shut down the electricity to the fence before the two
are killed bringing it down.
The crowd is able to escape, but the ritual to summon Azathoth has
already started. Dana grabs some paint from one of the trailers and hastily draws a
binding circle on the main stage to contain the demon. The stage erupts and a mass
of tentacles break through. Dana rapidly completes the binding spell to close the
half-open portal. Desperate, the tentacles reach for the first target they can
find and grab Andrew Cross. Cross is pulled into the portal just as Dana finishes
closing it.
In the aftermath of his failed attempt to raise the demon, Leland
Richter contacts Wolfram & Hart. The law firm promises to help their client,
and prepares to learn all they can about our heroes.
