Benny the Fox
Benny the Fox was the star of a sick and twisted underground animated film made in the 1940s.
The film was only shown once and was derided by those who saw it. When many of these critics were
later brutally murdered in manners reminiscent of the acts of violence in the film police arrested
Benny's creator, who was judged unfit for trial and sent to an asylum. The truth was far stranger,
though. The murders were actually committed by Benny himself who had somehow come to life. Left
weakened when the only print of the film was sent into storage, Benny returned when the film was
discovered and began being shown on the university circuit in the 1960s. Since then Benny has
appeared sporadically, usually to commit some act of depraved violence against those who criticize
his film. Benny has learned that his strength is directly tied to how many people have watched the
film and he is trying to find a way to get it distributed on the Internet, figuring this will make
him incredibly powerful. Benny himself is a "living" cartoon character and his abilities
reflect this. He can conjure up items from thin air and defy the laws of physics when it suits. His
only restrictions seems to be that his behavior and actions are restricted by some strange
"cartoon laws" based on the animated films from the 1930s and 40s.

Brotherhood of Ku-Ba-Sah
The Brotherhood were the chief warriors of the side opposing the monarchy in the civil war in the
realm of Karnaq. When it was learned that members of the royal family had escaped to Earth several
members of the Brotherhood travelled there to hunt them down. Fierce warriors, the members of the
Brotherhood of Ku-Ba-Sah also had the advantage of being able to disguise themselves as humans.
Posing as a fraternity at UCLA, the Brotherhood attempted to trap the last descendant of the
Karnaq royal family, who was going to university there and was unaware of her heritage. The
members of the Brotherhood were powerful enough to fend off an attack by mortal champions and
the Knights of T'rael. It was only the princess of Karnaq, newly awakened to her heritage and
abilities, that was finally able to defeat them.

Cyttorath
The Cyttorath were a race of noble demonic warriors well known throughout the demon realms.
In addition to their great strength and battle prowess, the Cyttorath also had the ability to
see into the future. This gave them an overwhelming advantage in any battle they fought and led
to them becoming one of the most powerful and feared of the demon races. Eventually, the other
demons banded together and hunted down and destroyed most of the Cyttorath. A handful of
Cyttorath survived and went into hiding. One group came to Earth and learned to change their
appearance to look human. Since then these Cyttorath have remained hidden, quietly going about
their lives as "normal" people. Gordon Campbell
was a Cyttorath demon.

Dusk Lords
Dusk Lords are demons related to vampires. Like vampires Dusk Lords must consume blood to survive,
but unlike their brethren the Dusk Lords prefer to drink from voluntary subjects and do not
hunt their victims. Dusk Lords also do not suffer from the normal vampire weaknesses. They are
unaffected by holy water and crosses and while sunlight makes them ill, it does not cause a
Dusk Lord to burst into flames. Dusk Lords also cannot be killed by decapitation; even if a
Dusk Lord's head is severed it remains in control of its body. Dusk Lords are naturarally
telekinetic and regenerate wounds at a rapid pace. A decapitated Dusk Lord will often use its
telekinesis to move its head back on its neck where its regenerative ability will quickly seal
the wound. Unlike vampires, Dusk Lords are not immortal but they are long-lived. A Dusk Lord
can live for centuries but its appearance will grow more inhuman and it will eventually die.
When a Dusk Lord dies or is killed its body quickly liquifies. New Dusk Lords are created by
immersing a human in the liquified remains of a deceased Dusk Lord. The liquid evaporates
fairly quickly so if a Dusk Lord knows it will die it will usually arrange for a human to be
chosen to become a new Dusk Lord in its place. Older Dusk Lords usually keep one or two
younger Dusk Lords as companions to ensure that its remains are used in the procreation of its
species. Barring this an elder Dusk Lord will try to at least have a few loyal retainers to
capture its liquified remains in the hopes it can be used before it spoils. Dusk Lords
prefer to choose humans with magical or psionic abilities to become new Dusk Lords so many
of them are accomplished sorcerors or powerful psychics in addition to their natural powers.
According to ancient texts belonging to the St. James family of dark magicians,
the Dusk Lords were originally a sect of warlocks that existed millenia ago. These warlocks
captured an ancient vampire and used dark magic to steal its power for themselves.

Dybbuk
Dybbuks were among the most feared demon soldiers during ancient times. Like most of the demons the
Dybbuks were driven from the Earthly realm eons ago. In the Dark Ages, however, a mad wizard opened
a portal that allowed several Dybbuks to return to Earth. These few Dybbuks have been responsible for
a great deal of havoc, torment, and misery in the centuries since their return. Dybbuks despise
humans and delight in torturing them and eating human flesh. The only thing that keeps the Dybbuks
from being a greater threat is that they are loners, hating each other almost as much as they hate
humans. In their natural form Dybbuks are massive (7 to 8 feet tall) four-armed humanoids with a
large mouth of double rowed teeth. Dybbuks can pass as human by possessing the body of a recently
deceased human. While they cannot access the memories of the deceased, this allows them to walk
amongst humankind undetected. Possessing a human body is also the only means for a Dybbuk to
venture out in the sunlight, which blinds and burns them in their natural form.

Ghosts and Poltergeists
Ghosts are the souls of deceased humans that are unable or unwilling to leave the Earthly plane and
move on. A violent or traumatic death is the usual reason a person becomes a ghost after death, though
traumatic incidents during life or the desire to complete some unfinished task from when they were
alive can also cause a ghost to manifest. Often immaterial and translucent or even invisible, ghosts
are usually harmless though frightening manifestations of the supernatural. A poltergeist on the other
hand is a ghost that can interact with the physical world, usually violently. Ghosts and poltergeists
can often be "laid to rest" if the cause of the haunting can be uncovered and some form of
closure provided to the wayward spirit.

any target. Once trained, the Hellhound will seek out and viciously attack its designated target. Like

their preferred food is brains (Human, animal, or demon, Hellhounds aren't picky eaters).

The Knights of T'rael
The Knights of T'rael are an order of demonic warriors from the other-dimensional realm of Karnaq.
The Knights were the loyal servants of the royal family and fought to protect them when Karnaq
fell into civil war over a century ago. Some members of the royal family fled to Earth to escape
death and it was a group of Knights of T'rael who recently came to Los Angeles looking for the
descendant of these noble refugees. Other than their distinctly non-human appearance and a lack of
knowledge of the English language little is known about the abilities of the Knights of T'rael.

Maerak
The Maerak are a demonic cult who seek to attain great power through the fulfillment of an ancient
apocalyptic prophecy. Physically, the Maerak are one of the weaker of the demon races, though still
stronger than the average human. In ancient times the Maerak were powerful sorcerers but a curse laid
on them millennia ago robbed them of their mouths and thus a great deal of their power. Today the
Maerak must rely on ritualistic sorcery performed using voices magically stolen from victims.

Netherpunks
Netherpunks are undead teenagers, created when an adolescent is frightened to death
by something supernatural. Other than their pale skin and dead stare a netherpunk appears much as
he or she did in life. Netherpunks do not age and tend to run in gangs of from six up to dozens
of members. Like vampires and zombies, a Netherpunk's body is dead flesh, making them difficult
to harm. They survive on a steady diet of flesh, preferably fresh, but the real drive for Netherpunks is the
corrupting of the pure and innocent. For a Netherpunk gang a pure soul is like blood in the
water. Their victims have a few advantages. Firstly, a Netherpunk is almost blind in the daylight.
While sunlight does not harm them like it does a vampire, they have trouble operating and often sport
the darkest sunglasses they can find when they have to go out in the day. Secondly, while a Netherpunk
is attracted to pure souls they cannot harm them. When a Netherpunk tries to attack someone pure and
innocent the bullets inevitably miss or the punch loses all power on contact. This is why Netherpunks
delight in corrupting the innocent, it allows them to feed on their prized targets. For some unknown
reason Netherpunks also have a tendency to speak backwards when communicating with each other.

The Old Ones
Older than the demons that once infested the Earth are the immensely powerful beings
called the Old Ones. These beings once ruled over the myriad of realms, warring with each other in
the primeval chaos. Eventually the newer races of demons banded together and imprisoned the Old Ones
in a remote dimension, locked behind powerful magic barriers. Even so there are those both demon and
human who seek to free the Old Ones and return the multiverse to an age of chaos. These attempts are
invariably tied to certain celestial alignments which facilitate traversing the imprisoning magics.
The Old Ones are all immeasurably powerful.
They are completely other-worldly and when manifest on the Earthly plane only a portion of their
true form can be perceived. Few who stand in the presence of an Old One retain their sanity for
very long.

Azatoth
Azatoth is alternately the weakest and one of the most powerful of the Old Ones. Azatoth is also
called the Gatekeeper. According to ancient legend Azatoth sympathized with the younger races
and their war with the other Old Ones. When the Old Ones were imprisoned Azatoth was set to
watch the gateway between the prison dimension and the outer realms. Any attempts to contact or
release any of the Old Ones must go through Azatoth.

Kronos the Devourer
Kronos is the oldest and most powerful of the Old Ones. He is also called the Devourer
and the Father of Demons. Demonic creation myths say that Kronos spawned the first race
of demons. Fearing a prophecy that said his offspring would destroy him, Kronos devoured the
first demons, save for a handful that escaped. These few led the demon uprising that would
eventually imprison the Old Ones. Legend says that one day the Devourer would be freed and
he would consume all life, wiping the world clean and starting a new age of chaos. Some versions
of the legend say that from this new chaos Kronos would spawn a new race of demons and the
cycle would start again. Some demonic scholars that this cycle has already repeated several times.

Shadow Walkers
The Shadow Walker clan of warrior assassins are based out of a temple in southeast Asia. From there
this mysterious order sends out its members on missions for whomever can afford their price. While
most of the clan's members appear to be human, some of the higher ranking ones possess supernatural
abilities. Whether these beings are demons, human-demon hybrids, humans who have gained demonic
powers, or some combination of all three is unknown. So far only one of these demonic Shadow Walkers
has been seen. This one appeared human, but was able to change into a demonic form that gave him
superhuman strength. It is possible that Cerne the Hunter
was once a member of the Shadow Walker clan.

Troll
Trolls are large, green-skinned, horned humanoids. They are extremely strong, but not the brightest
of creatures. Trolls were relatively common in the British Isles and northern Europe in ancient times
but most left the earthly plane for another dimension ages ago. A few stayed around, and occasionally
one is summoned or travels back on his own, but generally trolls are a rarity these days. They are
usually unfamiliar with modern society and revel in causing chaos so unless they are in the service
of an individual a troll is usually not hard to spot, just follow the swathe of destruction.

Turok-Han
The Turok-Han are a race of ancient and powerful vampire-kin. They are related to modern vampires the same way
way that Neanderthals are related to modern humans, being a primitive off-shoot of vampire "evolution",
if such a word can be used for these creatures. Turok-Han are stronger and tougher than modern vampires and are
far more predatory in their hunt for blood. They are immune to the effects of holy water and crosses but share
some of the vampire's other weaknesses. They can be killed by a wooden stake through the heart, but their
natural armor makes this more difficult than with regular vampires. Beheading and sunlight are the most
efficient means of slaying a Turok-Han. Luckily the Turok-Han were all banished from Earth millennia ago. The
only way for them to appear is if they are summoned to this plane of existence from their dimensional exile.

Vampires
According to legend, one of the last demons to be driven from Earth fed on a human before it fled
and bonded with its victim. This hybrid being became the first vampire, able to pass on its curse
by feeding on another. Vampires are soulless creatures that drink blood to survive. Vampires are
vulnerable to sunlight, fire, and holy water and crosses. They can also be killed by a wooden stake
through the heart or by decapitation. If not for these weaknesses the vampire scourge would surely
overrun the planet.

Werewolves
Werewolves are primal creatures, hybrids of humans and wolves. The origins of werewolves are a
mystery, but like vampires they propagate by biting a victim. A person bitten by a werewolf becomes
one themselves. For most people infected the transformation into a werewolf is uncontrollable,
occurring the night of the full moon and the nights immediately before and after. When transformed
the werewolf usually succumbs to their primal animal instincts. Through willpower, meditation, magic
or other means some people have learned to control their lycanthropy to varying degrees. These people
can often hold off their transformations even under the full moon, while some even learn to trigger
the transformation other times of the month. They also learn to maintain control of themselves when
they are transformed and not succumb completely to their bestial natures. In werewolf form a
lycanthrope has super-human strength, speed, and endurance and a remarkable healing ability, not to
mention the sharp senses, and even sharper claws and teeth, of a wolf. Werewolves are, however,
vulnerable to silver and weapons made of this are potentially lethal.

Zombies
Zombies are the animated corpses of deceased humans. There are numerous ways to create a zombie, and numerous
kinds of zombies to be created. The common feature of all zombies is that they all appear as they did when
their bodies were re-animated, in whatever state of decay they were in. This means that most zombies look
like what they are... corpses. A zombie's mental faculties usually depend on the means by which they were
created. A zombie may retain all the memories and intelligence they possessed in life, or may be a mindless
creature completely under the control of whoever or whatever animated them. Zombies make excellent cannon
fodder for evil sorcerers since, being already dead, they can shrug off most forms of damage. The usual
methods for stopping a zombie involve either reversing the magic that animated them, or doing enough
damage to the zombie's body that it can no longer function (being dead means the zombie cannot heal).
